Accepted vendors will be notified by June 30, 2005. ▪ All applications must include photos, even if you have attended our show in the past. ▪ Photos of every different* type of product you sell must be included. *See #11 for details. ▪ Photos will be returned if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope (60 cents postage required).
Please read the vendor information carefully to ensure you understand the requirements for participating in the 2005 White Ealge Festival.
Application Deadlines The deadline for applications is June 20, 2005. At this time the Marketplace Committee will review all applications and decide which vendors to accept. The committee will look for originality, a wide variety of vendors, a mix of new and returning vendors, and affordability. Accepted vendors will be informed by June 30, 2005. For any additional information, please contact Connie Thurman, Marketplace Coordinator, at (316) 775-6339, or email us at augustacoc@sbcglobal.net.
Vendor Information 1. Preference will be given to work that is the original creation of the exhibitor (i.e. "crafts"). A small number of booths will be available to "speical vendors" selling non-craft items or products of special interest to our audience. Please indicte on the application which category you belong in. The festival reserves the right to select only those vendors whose work we feel is appropriate to our event. 2. Indoor and outdoor exhibitors are expected to provide their own display booths, chairs, tents, and tables. The festival will go ahead rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather. 3. No knives of any length, swords, daggers, guns or ammunitions will be sold. This includes memorabilia and novelty items. No latex balloons or latex products are to be sold or distributed, as this facility is "latex-free". Violators will be asked to leave without re-imbursement of fees. 4. Booths will be located both indoors in the AHS Commons Area and on the north side of the school (on the grass) and will be approximately 10 ft. X 10 ft. 5. Booth Fees are $50 for indoor vendors and $35 for outdoor vendors and non-profit organizations. This is payable by check to the Augusta Chamber of Commerce. Receipts will be sent out with the information package confirming your acceptance. 6. If you are not accepted, your check will be returned to you. An accepted application is a commitment to show. No refunds will be made. 7. Vendors assume full responsibility for loss, theft or damage. 8. Vendors (even those with non-profit status) must display a sales tax certificate within plain view to the public. A photocopy must also be mailed with your application. 9. Set-up may begin no earlier than 4 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005. 10. Booths are expected to be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tear down must be completed by 7 p.m. on Sunday. Each vendor is responsible to clean up his or her area immediately after 5 p.m. on Sunday. 11. No vendor vehicles or trailers will be allowed in the north parking lot after initial set-up. Designated parking will be provided on the south side of the High School and marked "Vendor Parking". 12. Please include pictures of your work with the application form. You must include photos of each different type of product that you will sell, with approximate prices. "Different" refers to products made with different materials or processes, or which have a different use than your other products in the photos. For example, if you make pottery, photos of just a few objects are adequate since all products are made of clay. If you also make bead jewelry (using beads that aren't made of clay), this is a different product, and additional photos are required. If you have any questions, please contact the Marketplace Coordinator.
